Carefully and lovingly researched, this is a tale of roundabouts and concrete cows, of earlier settlers often marginalised and forgotten, of a promising football team, of lakes and water sports, a thriving business and social community with unique issues, but a very promising future.

Susan Popoola opens up a discussion that brings Milton Keynes to life in a concise, yet comprehensive and multi-dimensional exploration of a city often misunderstood. Even though Milton Keynes continued to develop and evolve, in many ways Milton Keynes today has not changed from the Milton Keynes of 2008 when ‘Touching The Heart of Milton Keynes’ was originally published.

Author Susan Popoola visited Milton Keynes for the first time in 2002 and fell in love with it. She made the decision to move there from London the following summer and relocated her Human Resources Consultancy, Conning Towers and Engaged for Success (Community Interest Company) which is focused on social and community research and development.
